About the brand
It's 1876. Bicycles fill the busy pathways up and down the Looiersgracht canal in Amsterdam. One man, Johannes Klene (pronounced Kle-ne), is crafting away in a small workshop, about to create some of the most delicious liquorice and candy treats around. Just like every Dutchman, Johannes enjoys the freedom of cycling, so uses his bicycle to deliver his creations. Pedal forward to today and Klene produces many sweets enjoyed in and outside of the Netherlands.
